Health Certificates
Current Health Certificates are required for all livestock entering the Fairgrounds. If you arrive without one, a veterinarian will be available at your expense. |
*Changes To Performance
Horse*
Senior 4-H & FFA
members may only enter one 4-H horse and one FFA horse per performance class.
8th graders are eligible to enter two horses if they are intering FFA in the
fall. They must be 14 yrs or older or they will still be considered
intermediates. All 4-H beginners and intermediates are NOT eligible to enter 2
horses in each performance class.
ALL scratches to
performance horse classes are to be made no later than 8:00 a.m. the day of the
show. Scratches needed during the show in a specific class(es) are only accepted
if approved by the horse superintendent or premiums will be forfieted.

- Lamb (Carcass) 55# 75#
- Hog (Carcass) 150# 190#

This contest for all 4-H,
FFA, & Open
Class for Adults has
been added and will replace the Big Horn County
Judging Contest.

Rabbit
& Poultry Barn Hours- The Rabbit & Poultry Barn will be open daily from 7:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. All other times the doors will be locked |
Open Class Premiums Open Class Premiums will be available at the Fair Office in Basin after August 25th and until November 1st.

Record Book Due Dates 4-H completed record books are due by the 2nd Friday of September of the project year. FFA completed record books are due by January 15th for the previous project year and are to be turned in to their respective agencies. Any 4-H of FFA exhibitor not meeting these requirements will not be allowed to sell an animal in the Jr. Livestock Sale. The Extension Agent/4-H Program
Assistant and the FFA advisors must provide a list of names of those who have not completed their books to the Jr. Livestock Sale Committee one week after their respective due dates to make them ineligible to sell their animal. |
Livestock Breeds With No Entries May Be Dropped
Livestock breeds, with no entries, may be dropped from future fairs. If a breed is dropped,
an exhibitor can enter the “any other” class and then the breed can be added for
the next year’s fair. |
